AC Milan and Moncliffe have announced a multi-year deal to launch Web3 eSports Football. Italian footballers are extending their Web3 partnership after announcing a partnership with NFT gaming and fan token platform Sorare in July.

On the other hand, Monkilig has expanded its footprint in the world of football and is the first partner of AC Milan.

MonkeyLeague Head of Marketing and Partnerships Oren Langberg said in an exclusive comment to NFTGators: “Ac Milan being our first club is a testament to what we’re building, the quality we’ve created and our ability to be. A web3 sports game leader. It elevates MonkeyLeague, allows us to connect the MonkeyLeague gaming experience to the real world, and is one of many partnerships we have planned to connect Web2 and Web3.

The NFT-based game allows users to build teams of at least six Monkey NFT characters to compete to climb the ladder.

The game is powered by MonkeyLeague’s own in-game token MonkeyBucks $MBS and other in-game assets that can be traded in-game and out-of-game for real money.

The new Milan partnership includes the creation of exclusive “Rossoneri-branded NFT game assets, wearables, special game tournaments and collaborative marketing events,” the company wrote in a press release on Friday.

According to the announcement, AC Milan players will participate in testing the game and products developed jointly by the two companies.

The two companies will collaborate to launch a new collection of AC Milan NFT game assets such as MonkeyPlayers, skins and stadiums.

Kasper Stielsvig, AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer, commented: “We are delighted to start this partnership with MonkeyLeague, which will strengthen our position in the field of digital innovation. We are proud to be the first football club to partner with MonkeyLeague, bringing this game to our fans around the world and providing a new and innovative way to connect with their favorite team.

MonkeyLeague’s latest partnership comes on the back of another major deal with publicly listed gaming technology company BUFF, announced in June. Langberg says this partnership is particularly important in bridging Web2 and Web3.

The company’s deal with AC Milan will see the Rossoneri select high-profile players for future MonkeyLeague esports tournaments.
