SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Arizona Coyotes have signed a restricted free agent forward Lawson Cruz For a five-year contract.

“He’s a big, tough, versatile force and we look forward to him being a big part of our future,” Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong said.

Cruz had 20 goals and 14 assists last season, sixth on the Coyotes. Bridges, Ontario, 24, led Arizona in tackles with 181 tackles last season and became a respected team leader after being traded from Florida in 2017.

Cruz has 56 goals and 54 assists in 346 career NHL games with the Coyotes. In the year He was taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers.
