Japan’s Ayaka Furey blasted a course-record 62-10 final round to capture her first LPGA title at the Women’s Scottish Open on Sunday.

The 22-year-old rookie, who has seven wins on the Japan Tour, finished the day at 21-under after starting four shots behind overnight leader Celine Boutier and Lydia Ko.

Furey totaled 10 birdies, including six birdies on the sixth hole, to win by three strokes over second-place Boutier.

Hyo Joo Kim and Cheyenne Knight finished the extra stroke return tied at 17.

Meanwhile, after consecutive misses on the green and rounds of 71 and 16-under totals, Ko’s race faded to a tie with Alison Lee for fifth.
