I have to admit that I had no immediate idea who Thierry Laurent* was when I first read the news that he had left the club amid the ongoing restructuring process. Sorry Terry!
The 57-year-old has been the director of the club’s physiotherapy department since 2005, rising from his regular physio position when he joined us from the French national team. That’s a long and wonderful 17 years serving the club, so hopefully we’ve broken the news with a proper farewell and something other than a brief pep talk. O F.S.
As reported @AdrianJKajumba – Chief physio Thierry Laurent is the latest employee to leave Chelsea today. The march continues… #cfc

There’s no word yet on Laurent’s replacement, though I suspect there won’t be any if or when that happens. Maybe we’ll bring them back in New York, who did Wesley Fofana’s much-hyped treatment last month.
* We’re unlikely to see Steve Hughes (who predates Abramovich) and Dimitrios Kalogianidis running the field when needed these days, although Kalogianidis was recently promoted to replace Paco Bioscan as (interim) medical director, which he probably won’t be doing anymore. As far as I know, Jose Calvaro and John Fearn are still around. (Sean Carmody recently left to join Crystal Palace.) SH and DK at RLC earlier this month.
