Four-star DL Terrance Greene has committed to Oregon

Cypress (Texas) C. Woods is a four-star defensive lineman Terrance Green He announced his commitment to Oregon on Monday evening live on the 247Sports YouTube channel.

The Ducks beat out Michigan State, Texas and USC for the 6-foot-5, 265-pound Green. He took his official visit to Eugene on the weekend of June 24th and then knew he would be playing college football.

“Being able to be around all the recruiters and coaches again,” Green said. They have great facilities but it’s the people that make the place for me.

Green word number 12 b Dan Lanning And the Ducks in the 2023 recruiting cycle. His commitment moves the Ducks from No. 23 to No. 16 in the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings.

“I feel like I’m going to grow with Coach Lanning being the defensive head coach and coaching from Coach Tosh (LuPoi) and Coach Tony (Tuyotti).”

As a junior Green had 40 tackles including 11 for loss and 5.5 sacks. He had about 30 offers in total.

“Honestly, the coaches, I like the environment in it,” Green said of his commitment. “There are really no distractions, you go to work and still have fun. The people on the staff, campus, and facilities help me grow and take good care of me and help me get my body right. And you have the support of Phil Knight and Tinker Hatfield. The Oregon brand is known around the world.

“Coach Lanning has come in and brought the guys together and his biggest issues are faith, family and football. It’s like that with all coaches. He also drew me to him. I feel like Oregon is on a great trajectory and already knows what it takes to get to the national title. I feel like Oregon is moving in the right direction and will continue to win for a long time.”
