Greenville has named one of 2 regional sites for the 2023 NCAA Women’s Tournament


The NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament is moving to a two-host format next year with eight teams playing in Seattle and Greenville, South Carolina. Each will host two regional semifinals on March 24. March 25. Each site will play a regional championship on March 26 and March 27. The NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed on March 12, the day the men’s tournament announces its teams. The first four opening-round women’s games will be played. It will be held from March 15 to 16 and will be held in the campuses of the 16 seeded teams. All sites bidding for the rounds of 64 and 32 must agree to host the first four games. Ball State Athletic Director Beth Goetz will serve as the NCAA Division I women’s basketball chair for the 2022-23 school year. Oregon Associate Athletics Director Lisa Peterson is the vice chair and will take over as chair in 2023-24.

Eight teams will play next year’s NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in Seattle and Greenville, South Carolina.

Each site will host two regional semifinals on March 24 and another two games on March 25.

The NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed on March 12, the same day the men’s tournament will announce its teams.

The first four women’s opening round matches will be played from March 15 to 16 and will be played on the campuses of the teams seeded among the 16. All sites competing for the round of 64 and 32 matches must agree to the conditions. So does hosting a First Four game.
