After a successful run with JD Motorsports driver Bailey Currie last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, retailer Hy-V has signed on to sponsor the team for six more races as the NASCAR Xfinity Series season winds down.

The Hy-Vee sponsorship continues at Saturday’s New Holland 250 at Michigan International Speedway, one of the fastest tracks on the NASCAR circuit.

The Hy-V name stands out in motorsport circles. In July, Hy-Vee made a big splash of sponsorship at INDYCAR racing when it hosted the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 and the Hy-Vee Salalute to Farmers 300 at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa. Hy-Vey’s sponsorship and participation throughout the weekend made it one of the most talked about events in INdyCAR racing. The weekend included Hy-Vee shows and events, including Hy-Vee-sponsored concerts by Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

“Randy Edeker, Chairman and CEO of Hy-V and Hy-V has done so much for IndyCar racing and Iowa Speedway,” said Tony Priskar, JD Motorsports vice president of sales and marketing. “It’s great to see all of the positive momentum Hy-Vey has created in racing flow back to Bailey, JD Motorsports and the NASCAR Xfinity Series.”

Currey had a strong race last Saturday in the Pennzoil 150 Xfinity race at the IMS road course in the Hy-Vey No. 4 Chevrolet. He finished seventh in the second race and finished 21st on the lead lap.

Now, Hy-Vey’s sponsorship of Currey continues with races in Michigan, Watkins Glen (August 20), Darlington (September 3), Kansas (September 10), Texas (September 24) and Phoenix (November 5). .

“Having a big sponsor like Hy-Ve commit to six more races means a lot to me,” said Currey. “I can’t tell you how much it means to have an organization with so many employees choose me to wear their logo with pride. I appreciate Randy working with the team at Hy-Vee to make this happen for me.

The No. 4 team hopes the momentum from Indianapolis will carry over into Saturday’s Michigan contest.

Wahlburgers, a Hy-Vee subsidiary, co-sponsors Redbox Rx and Vivid Clear Rx will be in the No. 4 car this weekend in Michigan.
