Johnson will make her first defense at Ramadan in a rematch between lightweight world champion Devin “The Dream” Haney and former champion “Ferocious” George Kambossos Jr. on Sunday afternoon, October 16 under Rod Laver. Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

Johnson (14-1, 6 KOs) defeated Melissa Esquiwell on April 20 at the Melbourne Convention Center to capture the IBF junior featherweight world title. Johnson, who was born in Tauranga, New Zealand, is the second Māori to win a world boxing title. She starred as an amateur in Australia before turning professional, winning three national titles and three Golden Gloves championships.

Ramadan (29-3, 12 KOs), from Preston, Victoria, Australia, is a champion of women’s boxing in Australia. Now a square-round veteran and two-time world champion, Ramadan has been a professional boxer for 15 years. In the year She captured the IBF bantamweight world title in 2011 and the WBC bantamweight crown a year later. One of Australia’s best female boxers, Ramadan has received numerous awards, including the Australian Government’s Sports Achievement Award.
