John Gruden became the head coach of the team Las Vegas robbers After it was revealed last October that he made racist, vulgar and homophobic emails in emails by Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith, among others.
However, his agent feels League He was out to meet him.
“That was hard work I can tell you now.” Bob LaMonte told JoeBucsFan.com..
LaMonte questioned why the league waited months to release the information and why the league seemed to be focused solely on Gruden. The emails were discovered during the league’s investigation into the workplace culture of Washington commanders.
“Why now, of all things, does this come up in an investigation that’s already gone?” Lamonte said. “And that was 10 years ago. And why John and why the thugs? He wasn’t even in the league at the time of those emails… That’s his tragedy. You can say what you want, but if anyone really understands John, you know he’s not a racist. That’s a lot.” Obviously, no one is talking.
Gruden is suing the NFL and its commissioner, Roger Goodell, because he also feels the league tried to sabotage his career. A judge rejected the NFL’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
“Everybody knows it was a mistake,” the agent said. “You have 650,000 e-mails and six of his were picked … and he wasn’t even in the league. He won in court and he’s going to win again.”
Lamonte echoed the Raiders announcer Brent Musburger’s comments from last year.
“Like I said coach, whoever took you out, John was a hit man,” Musburger said in an interview with Coach. JT Brick of the Las Vegas Sports Network. “This was one of the best jobs I’ve ever seen.
After nine years away from coaching, Gruden signed a 10-year, $100 million deal with the Raiders in January 2018, but it all seemed to snowball quickly and he was gone after four seasons.
Even though they no longer coach, LaMonte said his love for football hasn’t changed.
“The guy watches film all day, that’s what he does. He’s basically a football rookie and you take it from him,” he said.
Lamonte said the situation “took a real toll on Gruden” and “devastated his family,” but he’s “doing much better now” and believes he’ll be able to coach again.
“I think John looks younger, happier and better now. He’s an infinitely rich man and the funny thing about this lawsuit is that everyone says he’s going to get rich, he doesn’t really need the money. All Jon Gruden wants is his life. Go back — and he’s going to get it back.”
Gruden led the then-Oakland Raiders to the AFC Championship Game in 2000. In his first year as head coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the former Raiders won Super Bowl XXXVII.
In the year He was inducted into the Bucs’ Ring of Honor in 2017, but was removed in a scandal last year.
