Behind Ben McLaughlin’s big night, the Hayes Larks advanced to bracket play in the 88th annual NBC World Series with a 6-1 win over the Lonestar Kraken. Hayes (36-9) will play Lonestar Baseball Club — last year’s runner-up — Thursday at Eck Stadium, time TBA. The winner will advance to the semi-finals and the loser will be eliminated.
