NASCAR driver Kyle Busch and his family were at the Mall of America. During the shooting ThursdayBut they say they are safe.

“If you’re watching the news … we’re out and we’re fine,” Bush’s wife Samantha said she wrote on her Instagram story..

The family was enjoying a ride at the mall’s theme park just hours before the shooting.

Bloomington, Minnesota, mall It was closed due to a “confirmed isolated incident at a tenant location.”

The mall was deemed safe by police but will remain closed for the rest of the day.

The suspect fled on foot and was not apprehended by police. No victims were found. According to Bloomington police.
