Collier, a 2019 WNBA rookie and former All-WNBA Second Team selection, will return to the hardwood as the Lynx (12-20) try to clinch a playoff spot. With four games remaining in the regular season, Minnesota is in 10th place and 1½ games away from securing one of the remaining 3 spots in the postseason.
Collier, 25, has indicated that she wants to return sometime this summer during her pregnancy to play with her teammate and friend. Sylvia Falls Prior to Foles’ retirement following the 2022 campaign.
The Star Tribune reported Saturday that Collier had a full practice session with the team for the first time this season and was raising the bar to play this week.
The former UConn standout and 2020 Tokyo Olympian averaged 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in 2021, her third season in the league. Collier signed a multi-year contract extension with the Lynx that will keep her in Minnesota through 2025.
