Everyone loves a good walk-up song.

We’re all familiar with the baseball tradition where a player chooses one of their favorite songs to belt out when they take the field, and if the fans hear the song, it can be the difference between loving it and hating it. Player.

With that being said, this is starting to become a fan favorite tradition in NASCAR, as the drivers choose a song to go to during their driver introductions.

Last weekend, a list of songs was released for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race by Driver Bristol Motor Speedway.

The list itself is quite diverse, spanning almost every genre imaginable.

And of course, we’ve got our fair share of country songs too, and some of the drivers we’ve picked out might surprise you a bit.

Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace both went along with some Tyler Childers, Blaney chose Childers’ new single “Angel Band” and Wallace chose the title track “Long History of Violence” and the lyrics to the 2020 only song.

And for the other country songs nominated, Kyle Larson chose Jason Aldean’s “Dirt Road Song,” while Ross Chastain chose Tracy Byrd’s “Watermelon Crawl.” Ride the Lightning, Eric Jones from Toby Keith’s “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. from Hardy’s “Sold Out.”

Of course Blainey had all kinds of problems so she might want to stay away from the Chillers going forward, Bubba didn’t fare so well either…
