Nick Bosa’s father argues the 49ers star was disrespected after his comeback season.

49ers defensive end Nick Bosa was undeniably one of the NFL’s deadliest pass rushers last season.

But in the eyes of his father, John Bosa, the San Francisco superstar didn’t get enough credit for what he accomplished in 2021 — especially considering the season-ending ACL injury he suffered in 2020.

John appeared on 95.7 The Game’s “Morning Roast” on Monday, when he was asked if last season’s Defensive Player of the Year being left out fueled the Knicks. He is heading into his 2022 campaign..

“Well, I think he’s trying to be the best, and those awards are obviously good and I think they’ll be appreciated,” said John, then brought up a different award that he thought the boy should have considered.

“But I think he’s been a little underrated in his younger years, and I think that’s continued — I think it’s an absolute joke not to get one vote for returning player of the year,” John continued. And he never takes anything away from his best friend. [Cincinnati Bengals quarterback] Joe Burrow, but I think that’s an absolute shame [Nick] He didn’t get a single vote the year he returned.

Nicks finished the 2022 regular season fourth in the NFL with 15.5 sacks, second in sack yards (122) and tied for first in the league in tackles for a loss along with Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt after both collected 21.

This success came After a traumatic recovery for NickHe tore his ACL in Week 2 of the 2020 season when the 49ers played the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

According to John, Burroughs won CPOY while leading the Bengals to the Super Bowl following his recovery from an ACL tear. Watt was named DPOY last season after leading the NFL in both sacks and tackles for a loss.

While the Burrough and Watt awards were both well-received, John’s review isn’t the first time voters close to the boy have said they’ve been underrated for how they view Nick.

When Nick was there Left off the 2021 All-Pro team.Kyle Shanahan said, “It has to be there,” and people don’t appreciate how good the edge rusher is.

But at the end of the day, all that matters to Nick is winning — and his dad knows it.

“These things probably annoy me more than they annoy me,” John said. Because like I said, he’s single-minded and he’s all about the Niners,” he said.
