Good news, Nikolai Knizhov is skiing.
Here’s what San Jose Hockey News’ Lease reported two weeks ago when he attended the San Jose Sharks’ development camp:
Ah, it’s SHARKS snow this morning (Labanck, Ferraro and Knizhov).

Knizhov has been making the rounds in the community, appearing in overtime training at a comprehensive ice hockey training facility (and SJHN sponsor) located just minutes from Sharks Ice.
That’s all good news considering Knijthov has missed all of the 2021-22 season with a groin injury and an infection after surgery.
Knizhov stated that he has injured his groin, he thinks he will be ready in the fall
SJHN has not reported any setbacks for the San Jose Sharks defenseman this summer, with a source on the record today saying, “Not that I’m aware of. Should be good to go. [for the season]He said.
Of course, Knizhov himself said with a smile in his May exit interview about his cautious tone back in the fall: “The forecast is there and you know, they had the same forecast in May a year ago. There is only hope out there. I hope I’m ready this time. I don’t want to say I won’t, I don’t want to say I will, but I feel like I am now. I feel good now. “
As of right now, it looks like Knizov is still on his way. Let’s hope he sticks with it: The San Jose Sharks’ blue line is one Brent Burns short, and they need all hands on deck to make up for the franchise icon’s minutes.
