Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard He had to sit out the team’s last scrimmage in Monday night’s loss to the Cowboys, and after that, many Giants indicated that Shepard would miss the rest of the season.
Giants coach Brian Daboll said it’s tough to watch Shepard, especially given how hard he’s working to come back from a torn Achilles that ended his 2021 season.
“It’s hard. It’s a tough sport,” Daboll said, via ESPN. “Men work their bread to recover from injury. It’s something, If he is out for the whole seasonMaybe we know [Tuesday] morning . . . You hurt those guys because you see them in the rehab room, because you see them at recess. It’s just a shame.”
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones After the game, Shepard seemed upset about the injury.
“I hate to see this happen to him,” Jones said. “Nobody deserves it, but especially not him. He works his tail off and means a ton to this team, to all of us.
Shepard leads the Giants with 154 receiving yards this season.
