The two worst words in sports: weather delay.
NASCAR fans have had to deal with inclement weather at times this season, Sunday afternoon, when the Cup Series race was delayed.
Thankfully, things seem to be clearing up – for now.
“Rain has stopped around most of the track. No estimate for race start. It may take at least 90 minutes to dry (depending on wind/sun) but more rain is possible. Race will last 2.5-3 hours. Spring 8:49p ET. No lights. 100 If a lap or so is rained out, it will be an official race, reports Bob Pokras.
Hopefully things will clear up soon.
It was a tough day for the racing world.
Hopefully we’ll have a clearer afternoon.
