The Nets signed Marcus Zagarovski to round out the training camp roster

The Nets have signed their 2021 second-round pick, Marcus Zagarovski, the team announced Sunday evening. Zegarowski, who entered training camp on an Exhibit-10 deal, will round out the 20-man camp roster in Brooklyn.

Zegarowski played in just eight games last season with the Long Island Nets of the Nets’ G League affiliate. He averaged 10.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 27.0 minutes per game. He was limited to eight games after suffering plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Brooklyn drafted Creighton’s shooting guard with the 49th pick in 2021. NBA draft.

Shortly after the Nets’ announcement, the brother of Zagarowski, the 2014 Rookie of the Year, tweeted his thanks.

The 6’1″ guard joins two NBA veterans, Chris Chiozza and Yuta Watanabe, on Exhibit 10 deals. Donovan Williams, a 6’6″ wing, was also in camp and has agreed to sign an Exhibit 10 deal, according to previous reports. Williams’ signature has not yet been officially announced by the team.

Assuming Williams signs before training camp opens on Tuesday, the Nets will have:

-12 fully guaranteed deals: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons, Joe Harris, Royce O’Neal, Nick Claxton, Seth Curry, Patty Mills, Cam Thomas, Deiron Sharp, Kesler Edwards and TJ Warren.

-Two semi-guaranteed deals: Markieff Morris and Edmund Sumner.

– Two-way deals: Alondes Williams and David Duke Jr.

-Four exhibition 10s: Zegarowski, Watanabe, Chiozza and Donovan Williams.

If an exhibition has 10 players removed, the Long Island Nets automatically retain their G League rights.
