Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady A goat in more ways than one. He’s definitely one of the best when it comes to finding ways to put a giant chip on his shoulder.
in the First class His second season let go podcast with Jim Gray on SiriusXM, Brady explained that instead of telling his patchwork offensive line to ignore the noise, he’s telling them to embrace it.
“I showed them and used it as motivation,” Brady said. “Every time someone says they’re going to breastfeed, they can’t do anything. I’ll show them and say, ‘This is what everyone’s saying about you.’ What do you guys think? What are you going to do about it?’ And make sure everyone knows what they’re talking about. I think it’s important. You know, I think I always use a little bit of different offense as motivation for me. and I [a] A truly motivated person. But it always helps when someone says something unpleasant. Or someone who still doesn’t believe in you after all these years, you try to prove them wrong. And they still don’t. So you go, ‘You know what? thank you. You know, thank you very much. Let me go ahead and prove them wrong.
Are people really saying his offensive linemen suck? It is worth pointing out that center. — Ryan Jensen He waits indefinitely. Aaron Stinney Gone for the year. It makes sense that Brady has shown his vulnerability in the past to pressure the middle. It’s fair to ask if backup players who were backups for a reason are prepared to not be backups to keep Brady from putting pressure on the middle. No one says that those players are attracted. It is worth asking if they are prepared to demonstrate that they do not.
But that hasn’t stopped Brady from turning any criticism into diss. He’s done it before. For example, in After winning against the Patriots in their last Super Bowl run against the Chargers in the 2018 divisional round, Brady played the aforementioned card when he told the world that no one believes us. But the truth is, everyone believed them. But that doesn’t give much motivation to Brady, or anyone else.
Brady also acknowledged that the offensive line situation will be “challenging.”
“We lost. Alex Capa For the Bengals,” Brady said. “We lost a great player, Ali Marpet, to retirement. And then Ryan got hurt in training camp. So we met Shaq MasonI love to death. I played with him for a long time. I know what he’s about. Robert Hennessy From Notre Dame, he earned the respect of his teammates with his work ethic, and even though he didn’t play last year, he was seen every day. He goes in and tries to do a good job. And we got a left guard that fought every day. Luke [Goedeke] He did a great job for us in training camp. We’ve got him ready to come in here and play, and we’ll see if he can get in there and be ready to do a good job.
That’s all anyone says. But Brady knows he needs more to fire up the younger players.
“I hope people take to heart all the things they’ve said about them, which, you know, they’re not always the nicest things,” Brady said. But they had to go out there and again, like all of us, we have to go out there and find and prove people right or prove them wrong.
Prove them wrong. Even if they are not wrong for not saying what they say. It’s a neat trick if you can pull it off. We’ll see if the new-look offensive line holds its own against the Cowboys on Sunday night.
