Sometimes it is difficult to project the upcoming season when there is uncertainty about where a player will play. That is not the case. A three-time All-Star, Mitchell can score like any top 2 guard from beyond the arc, midrange or near the rim, with either foot or off the dribble. Mitchell’s first step is dynamic and his leaping ability is impressive. He still hasn’t reached that level of superstardom at the free-throw line, forcing him to rely on the jumper more than he should, but even so, Mitchell is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA. Game for years.

Last season, Mitchell averaged 25.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 44.8 percent from the field and providing great value on both ends of the floor.

With Mitchell as your best player, the second round of the playoffs could be your team’s ceiling depending on the pieces around him, at least if his work to date is to be believed. But who knows if you pair it with another star or two? A championship may be out of the question as Mitchell proved he relishes the postseason spotlight last season.
