Notre Dame was wrapping up big-time commitments under Marcus Freeman, and the Fighting Irish are now picking up good points under their first-year coach. The program released a video called “The Hangover” on Wednesday to reveal the unique uniforms the Shamrocks will wear in this season’s series game against BYU in Las Vegas.
The video, which stars Freeman, senior defensive lineman Isaiah Foskey and junior tight end Michael Myer, went viral on social media. The game isn’t at Allegiant Stadium until Oct. 8, but as the Fighting Irish prepare to take on the Cougars, it’s the first time since 2013 and the first time a game at an independent site will be officially televised. .
Notre Dame’s helmet will remain the same for the game, but the program says the gold paintwork is a “seamless complement to the old Las Vegas golden era.” The jerseys have plenty of special touches though. The white uniforms are sure to impress with the “glittering gold lights of Las Vegas” emblazoned on the shoulders and other gold-embellished touches.
Even if they weren’t, the video revealing them certainly was. If coaching doesn’t work out, maybe Freeman has a future in Hollywood. Watch the full video below:
